GCTF Initiatives 2018 - 2019 

In 2018-2019, GCTF Members have launched three Initiatives, the Initiative to Counter Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Threats, co-lead by Germany and the United States, and the Initiative on Improving Capabilities for Detecting and Interdicting Terrorist Travel through Enhanced Terrorist Screening and Information Sharing, co-led by Morocco and the United States. Australia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom also launched an Initiative to develop a Policy Toolkit to operationalize the Zurich-London Recommendations, endorsed in the previous year. 

As a result of these Initiatives, GCTF Members endorsed the following documents at the Tenth Ministerial Plenary Meeting, held in September 2019 in New York: 

• New York Memorandum on Good Practices for Interdicting Terrorist Travel 
• Berlin Memorandum on Good Practices for Countering Terrorist Use of Unmanned Aerial Systems
