ADDIS ABABA - Ethiopia - The Workshop on the Role of Law Enforcement in Relation to Preventive Actions to Counter Terrorism to discuss the role of law enforcement in relation to preventive actions to counter terrorism was held back to back with the Horn of Africa Working Group plenary meeting on 4-5 April 2017. 

ZURICH - Switzerland - The GCTF’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group Co-Chairs, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK), organized the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Working Group in Zurich, on 8 March 2017.

THE HAGUE - the Netherlands - Under the auspices of the GCTF Foreign Terrorist Fighters Working Group, co-chaired by Morocco and the Netherlands, the United States led a “Dialogue on Countering Foreign Terrorist Fighters (FTFs) and Radicalization to Violence in Central Asia.”

DJIBOUTI CITY - Djibouti - The GCTF’s Horn of Africa (HOA) Capacity Building Working Group’s Fifth Plenary Meeting convened in Djibouti City, Djibouti, on 2 June 2016.

TURIN - Italy - The GCTF’s Detention and Reintegration and Criminal Justice and Rule of Law Working Groups and the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) teamed up with experts in Turin to discuss the ways forward on the rehabilitation and reintegration of returning Foreign Terrorist Fighters (RFTFs).

ABU DHABI - United Arab Emirates – On 23-25 May 2016, under the auspices of the GCTF’s Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Working Group, Hedayah, the International Center of Excellence for CVE, hosted a workshop on the P/CVE roles of families. 

MARRAKESH - Morocco - The Global Counterterrorism Forum Foreign Terrorist Fighters Working Group Plenary Meeting convened in Marrakesh, Morocco, on 17-18 May 2016. 

NEUCHÂTEL - Switzerland - The Criminal Justice and Rule of Law Working Group (CJ-ROL) will focus on further implementation of good practices highlighted in the Rabat Memorandum. That is one of the strategic outcomes of the Plenary Meeting of this Working Group, held on 3-4 May 2016. 

WASHINGTON D.C. - United States - The Criminal Justice and Rule of Law (CJ-ROL) Working Group convened an expert meeting in Washington on 25-26 April to discuss ways to identify and counter terrorist recruiters and facilitators.
