The GCTF Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Working Group organised a virtual consultation through an online survey and a series of webinars under its Initiative on National-Local Cooperation in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism. The objective of this Initiative is to develop a Good Practices document to assist countries in enhancing national-local cooperation (NLC) across preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) issues.

Criminal Justice and Rule of Law (CJ-ROL) Working Group Co-Chairs, Nigeria and Switzerland, hosted the Second Expert Meeting within the Initiative on Criminal Justice Responses to the Linkages between Terrorism, Transnational Organized Crimes and International Crimes.

Nigeria and Switzerland, Co-Chairs of the Criminal Justice and Rule of Law Working Group hosted a Plenary Meeting in Malta on 11 February 2020.

Initiative Co-Leads, the United Nations and the United States of America hosted the Launch Event in New York, United States of America on 22 January 2020. 

MONTREAL - Canada - Australia and Indonesia, Co-Chairs of the GCTF Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Working Group, in partnership with the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the Prevention Project, as part of the Initiative on National-Local Cooperation in Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) organized a workshop back to back with the Working Group's Plenary Meeting in Montreal, Canada.

RABAT - Morocco - Co-Leads of the Initiative, Morocco and the United States, hosted the Third Regional Workshop on 13-14 June 2019, focusing on East and West Africa, including existing regional mechanisms, needs and gaps, will be the final meeting in a series of three region-specific workshops.

AMSTERDAM - The Netherlands - The Co-Leads of the GCTF Initiative to Counter Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Threats, Germany and the United States, co-chaired the Fourth Regional Workshop in Amsterdam, the Netherlands on 28-29 May 2019.

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia - Initiative Co-Leads, Morocco and the United States, held the Second Regional Workshop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 2-3 May 2019.

SEOUL - South Korea - The Co-Leads of the GCTF Initiative to Counter Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Threats, Germany and the United States, co-chaired the Third Regional Workshop in Seoul, Republic of Korea, on 19-20 March 2019.
