Participants reviewed the Working Group’s progress since the fourth plenary meeting and assessed priorities for the remaining months of the work plan and the current co-chairs’ mandate, including opportunities for collaboration with the other GCTF Working Groups.
Participants discussed key tools developed by the CJ-ROL Working Group, national efforts by members and capacity building efforts to assists other States to implement Good Practice #6 of the GCTF Rabat Memorandum on Good Practices for Effective Counterterrorism Practice in the Criminal Justice Sector, regarding the use and protection of intelligence in terrorism related investigations and prosecutions. Furthermore, GCTF members and partners described and discussed examples of successful models and continuing problems of effective inter-agency and international cooperation and collaboration and criminal justice issues impacting juveniles in the counterterrorism context.
