Military operations and security measures alone are not enough to defeat terrorism and violent extremism conducive to terrorism. To respond fully and efficiently to the challenges and threats, emphasis must be put on prevention through reinforcing structural changes, community engagement and building of resilience.
Along with relevant GCTF resources, the partner resources highlighted here can contribute to effective governance that addresses aggravating factors and underlying conditions that may create grievances and may lead individuals to join violent extremist groups.
