The source material for this podcast is the Addendum to The Hague Good Practices on The Nexus Between Transnational Organized Crime and Terrorism with Focus on Criminal Justice | Arabic | French. The nexus between transnational organized crime and terrorism (or the nexus) can take many forms. Terrorist groups and transnational criminal networks may interact with each other for financing or operational purposes, sharing their networks and skills. They may also intersect when it comes to illicit trafficking in goods such as drugs, firearms or cultural artifacts. The complex and cross-border nature of crimes that sit at the nexus between terrorism and transnational organized crime—or nexus crimes —provide specific challenges for the criminal justice sector. The GCTF developed this Addendum to support states in addressing this nexus.
